Kc Wayland, the dynamic creator and producer of two audio-drama series, published We’re Alive: A Story of Survival a year before The Walking Dead brought flesh-eating hordes into millions of living rooms on a regular basis. We’re Alive: A Story of Survival is set in Los Angeles and follows multiple characters in the aftermath of a sudden zombie apocalypse. As a former Army Reserve sergeant, Kc’s military background lends realism to the series as one of the main characters in We’re Alive: A Story of Survival is also an Army Reserve sergeant. One of the fascinating landmarks in this audio-drama series takes its roots from Kc’s time in Iraq, where he deployed with the 222nd Broadcast Operations Detachment in 2003-2004 assisting with satellite transmissions and technical support for American Forces Network broadcasts. The audio series debuted in May 2009 with it’s first season spanning twelve heart pounding chapters. After four seasons, the series ended it’s run in July 2014. The We’re Alive: A Story of Survival series offers almost 48 hours of post-apocalyptic entertainment, and the broadcasts have amassed over 35 million downloads. We’re Alive: A Story of Survival is available in MP3 download format and can also be purchased in CD format on Amazon.

Kc published the audio-drama We’re Alive: Lockdown in April 2016. This six-part series serves as both a standalone and continuation of the We’re Alive: A Story of Survival audio-drama series. It answers some questions, asks new ones, and keeps the listener guessing right up until the bitter end. The setting for this series is the Twin Towers Jail where a riot has just begun.

Kc has also produced several award winning feature documentaries, including 365 Boots on Ground and Eastern State: Living Behind the Walls. His newest project has him working alongside several of Hollywood’s heavy hitters in a 12-part audio-drama that is slated for release this fall. Kc is passionate about telling compelling stories through the audio medium and is currently writing a book on the topic. Kc is working on continuing his original series with We’re Alive: Goldrush slated for release in 2017.
